Charlie Watts at 72: “One of the Most Respected Musicians in the World”

Charlie Watts celebrated his birthday on Sunday, born on June 2nd, 1941 in London, England.

According to rollingstones.com, "bringing the sensibilities of a jazz drummer to rock music has made Charlie Watts one of the most respected musicians in the world."

He's been holding the beat down for the Rolling Stones since 1963.

Currently on the Stones' 50 & Counting Tour, the band rocks Chicago tonight and will play Philly at the Wells Fargo Center June 18th and 21st.
