A few weeks ago, we shared video of a scary road rage battle between a school bus and a FedEx truck. The bus driver was fired immediately, and the FedEx driver fired a day later.

The Lakewood Police Department has now charged both drivers with various charges, according to a news release from Lakewood Detective Lt. Gregory Staffordsmith. The bus driver, 68-year-old Morris Wilder of Lakewood, received multiple motor vehicle summonses. FedEx driver Sigmund Winiavski, 48, of Maple Shade, has been charged with aggravated assault.

Winiavski's attempt to force a vehicle off the road constituted simple assault, but because Wilder "was clearly identifiable as being engaged in the performance of his duties as a school bus driver, New Jersey law dictates that the action rises to the level of an aggravated assault," Staffordsmith said.
