A massive project is happening at Casino Pier Amusement Park in Seaside Heights. To make the park bigger and to add more rides, Casino Pier is being expanded North over the beach instead of East like was was before Hurricane Sandy.

You probably know by now that Casino Pier in Seaside Heights is expanding to provide more rides and games for the kids, and to get back to the size they once were before Hurricane Sandy destroyed the pier. Instead of the pier being expanded back over the Atlantic Ocean...

As the four year anniversary of Superstorm Sandy approaches this month, a number of impacted families from Monmouth and Ocean counties remain displaced. "Of the 260,000 households that were affected by the storm, there are still several thousand that have not been able to return home," said Maureen Mulligan, executive director for Coastal Habitat for Humanity based in Spring Lake Heights

But, officials say, with a court ruling against holdouts on their side, they're finally ready to move ahead.
