Call it luck or great planning. All four members of Crosby, Stills, Nash & Young will be together again on Oct. 26-27 for the Bridge School Benefit Concert in Mountain View, Calif. The show will no doubt whet the appetite of fans of the band, especially those anticipating a 40th anniversary tour in 2014.
Jeff Beck will team up with Brian Wilson for an 18-date tour this fall. The run begins on Sept. 27 in Florida before working up the East Coast and then zigzagging across the country for a final date on Oct. 27 in Akron. Wilson's fellow Beach Boys Al Jardine and David Marks will also join him onstage.
The Rock Meets Classic tour's mission statement promises "legendary voices of rock meeting a symphonic orchestra and a rock band." And that's exactly what they'll be delivering next year, when Alice Cooper headlines a number of 2014 dates.
After a two-year break, the Black Crowes are once again soaring. In March, the band broke its hiatus with the Lay Down With Number 13 tour, which included sold-out dates in the U.K., a few festival gigs and a spot opening for a couple of Bruce Springsteen's stadium concerts.
