I'm back in a warm dry studio today, and Linda Gillick, Executive Director of Ocean of Love called the studio to give her thanks and update us on what the new donation amount is.
October 22, 2012 It has now been a few days since we have finished the 2012 Ocean of Love Billboard Radiothon, and I still am processing the week's events.
Now that the Hawk's Ocean of Love Billboard Radiothon is over, I want to say how thankful I am that, with your generous help, we were able to raise money to ease the suffering of Ocean County families who so desperately need our help.
And I want to again share some words about this wonderful organization (and its amazing founder, Linda Gillick) that so deserves all the support you showed it.

October 19, 2012 Yesterday, we made a considerable amount of progress towards our goal of $105,700...but not before being faced with probably the most tribulating experience we've had to date at Billboard Week.
Last night we had our first big donation battle as the East Dover and Silverton Fire Companies showed up in style and fought to out-donate each other! Of course, the big winners were all of the children of Ocean of Love, as the battle helped bring us to the $70,000 mark! Take a look at the video from the big battle!
The sun's gone down on another Billboard day, but there is still activity all around! From the Outcast Cruiser Car Club to face painting by Chubby Penguin Parties and a photo booth courtesy of Elite Photo Booths, there's something for everyone! This man rode his bike all the way from Manchester to the Billboard site on Hooper Avenue in Toms River to deliver his $5 donation. By my math, that's roughly 15 miles. So the question remains... what's your excuse?
