An overturned dump truck on Route 18 North near the exit for Tennent Road Monday around 11:05 am in Marlboro sends the driver to the hospital with serious injuries.

Marlboro Police say the driver had been ejected from the truck as a result of the accident but say the cause of the crash remains under investigation.

The driver was brought to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick by medivac helicopter.

The driver's identity is being withheld by police pending notification of family members.

Cpl. David Ruditsky of the Marlboro Township Police Traffic and Safety Bureau is investigating the motor vehicle accident.

The cause of the motor vehicle accident remains under investigation and no motor vehicle summonses have been issued at this time.

The Morganville First Aid Squad, Robertsville Fire Department, Paramedics from MONOC, Northstar Medivac from New Jersey State Police and the New Jersey State Department of Transportation all responded alongside Marlboro PD to the accident.
