Bruce Springsteen to be Inducted into The American Academy of Arts and Sciences

Bruce Springsteen is an icon, a legend, a God to many.

And now he'll join the ranks of another very exclusive club, having been nominated for membership in the American Academy of Arts and Sciences.

According to ultimateclassicrock.com, "being inducted into the honorary society is no small feat."

The American Academy of Arts and Sciences is one of the country's most prestigious honorary societies, according to nj.com, and draws its members from a pool of the world's most accomplished scholars, scientists, artists, writers and other leaders.

Among the other new members being honored later this year? Robert DeNiro, Sally Field and Pete Seeger.
