Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery hosting Memorial Day ceremonies

The Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Wrightstown, Burlington County along with the New Jersey Department of Military and Veterans Affairs are holding two Memorial Day ceremonies to honor our fallen heroes this weekend.

Nearly 2,000 boy scouts, girl scouts, cub scouts and brownies will decorate nearly 60,000 graves on Friday along with a ceremony.

Scouts will arrive around 4:00 pm and will start placing the flags on each grave around 5:00 pm.

Their community service will be commemorated with a scouting patch.

On Saturday a separate ceremony will be held including the presentation of memorial wreaths by over a dozen veteran service organizations who will parade the public assembly area.

It's part of the annual Memorial Day commemoration ceremony which starts with a parade of color guards from various veterans organizations led by the Brig. Gen. William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery Joint Honor Guard.

They're will also be a flyover by the 177th Fighter Wing, the 63rd Army Band and a 21-gun salute.

Culminating the ceremony will be the presentation of memorial wreaths by representatives of more than a dozen veteran service organizations who will parade to the public assembly area.
