Brick’s ‘Cozy Kitchen’ Is For Sale

If you grew up in Brick like I did, or still live in the area, you know about the Cozy Kitchen on Herbertsville Road. I've been there countless times, I've had friends who worked there in high school, I even remember when it was "Bob and Lori's Cozy Kitchen". It specialized in just breakfast and lunch, closing for the day at 3pm.

The location has just been put up for sale, with the listing appearing on January 31st. A unique selling point of the location is that while the first floor was devoted to the eating area and kitchen, the upstairs is actually 3 bedroom, 1 bathroom apartment.

I checked the Cozy Kitchen's Facebook but there doesn't seem to be any indication of why the business is up for sale; the last update was just days ago.

If you're looking to open a restaurant that you can live above (no commute!) this would be a perfect place. The listing suggests the space could be kept as a restaurant, or converted into things like a bakery, tavern, salon, deli, dry cleaner, florist, ice cream shop, or pizzeria (which would be tough with Papa V's and Vinnie's and Cuzzin's within a few hundred feet).

I always liked the vibe of the Cozy Kitchen, so hopefully whoever does buy it will keep it as a nice small restaurant.
