Brick Will Host Veteran Suicides Awareness March
The Brick Township Council approved a permit for Ma Deuce Deuce to bring "Operation Ruck It" to the Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 8867 in Brick.
Ma Deuce Deuce, also known as MA22, was created in September 2016 to help bring attention to the issue of veteran suicide, and create connections for local veterans who are dealing with PTSD. The "22" represents the 22 suicides that occur daily among veterans.
On September 22nd, Operation Ruck It will feature a 22-kilometer march, followed by an afterparty at the VFW. There is a $22 registration fee, and commemorative tshirts will be available too. The party will include food, live music, raffles, prizes, and more.
