5th Pocket Skateparks is bringing a brand new skatepark to Brick!

About two weeks ago the company broke ground at Bernie Cooke Park in Brick, at the corner of Burnt Tavern and Herborn Avenue.

Mayor John Ducey said the renovations to the park go beyond just the skatepark, and will include two new playgrounds, a new softball field and a bike track.

These artists renderings look pretty awesome:

It has been a long time since I got on a skateboard, and I doubt it'd be able to hang with the kids at this point. It still looks like an awesome park, and if I ever get the urge to shred again, I'll be heading to Brick.
