Every year, the New York City Police Department plays a charity hockey game vs the New York City Fire Department. It is referred to by some as the "Guns and Hoses" Charity game.

This weekend, a massive bench clearing brawl between players on both sides happened during the game at the Nassau Coliseum

The brawl occurred in the 2nd period during a 3-3 tie. The police went on to win 8-5. It was the NYPD's first win in the last 6 years.

No word on what started the fight, and both sides declined comment after the game
