Bob Seger at 68: Looking Forward to His “Swan Song” Album

Happy birthday, Bob Seger!

Seger was born on May 6, 1945 in Dearborn, Michigan.

According to bobseger.com, a new album is on the agenda, and although he's currently touring, Seger says he sees the time approaching when he'll wind up both performing as well as recording.

He says even though he's not in the planning stages of retirement just yet, he's wide open to it now.

“I’ve had a great career, y’know? It’s been a great run. I don’t want to overstay my welcome. And this tour is just going great — big crowds and places we haven’t played in 15, 17 years. It’s really heartening.”

His 2013 Rock and Roll Never Forgets Tour, which kicked off February 27th in Ohio, wraps up this Saturday in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.
