According to The SandPaper, the vacant lots and empty businesses just off the Garden State Parkway on Route 72 are expecting new tenants.

At the Manahawkin Common Plaza and KMart Plaza, officials have plans for a number of changes. The Stafford Township Planning Board has approved a permit to bring Chick-fil-A and Panera Bread to the vacant lot on Route 72's north side. KMart itself will become an Old Navy, and T.J.Maxx and HomeGoods and Michaels will move down. In place of where T.J.Maxx and HomeGoods is now, there is going to be a Burlington Coat Factory.

Township Administrator James Moran expects the projects to start in Spring 2018.
