According to Patch, the Brick Township Planning Board approved a huge overhaul of Brick Plaza.

New stores coming to the plaza include LA Fitness (where Sports Authority was), along with Michael's and Home Goods.

The renovations have been on-going on the Chambers Bridge side, and there are now plans for extensive work to be done on the Cedar Bridge side. Renovations will actually reduce the space of the old Sports Authority building to add about 50 more parking spaces; the old site of The Mansion nightclub will also be downsized for additional parking.

Finally, the pathway that cuts through the plaza will be expanded and turned into something with more of a "boardwalk" feel, including benches and tables.
