David Redzikowski, 41, of Bedivere Court, was arrested Friday, following an investigation that unfolded in span of several months, police said.

No one was injured, police said, but residents reported suspicions of ammo being fired after finding holes on their homes.

Investigating the third such incident on May 9 in the same neighborhood near a patch of woods, police said they found evidence that helped them identify Redzikowski and his 2007 Jeep Wrangler.

A search of the house yielded what appeared to be marijuana under cultivation, along with several handguns and rifles and ammunition, police said. The risk of active firearms prompted police to bring in the Ocean County SWAT team to enter the house.

Authorities did not speculate why Redzikowski would take aim at houses in the neighborhood, or whether anyone's safety was in immediate danger.

Redzikowski was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon, possession of a weapon for unlawful purposes, possession of heroin and possession of drug paraphernalia. He was placed in the Ocean County Jail in Toms River, in lieu of $100,000 bail.

The investigation remains open. Anyone with knowledge of related incidents, or others, should call Berkeley Township PD, 732-341-1132, extension 611. Callers can remain anonymous.
