Berkeley Police looking for witnesses of Pinewald-Keswick Road crash

Berkeley Police are looking for anyone who witnessed a car accident on Pinewald-Keswick Road Wednesday around 1:15 pm near the parkway entrance after a Nissan Sentra struck a utility pole.

The responding officers observed that the Nissan had struck a utility pole on the south side of Pinewald-Keswick Road .

The crash caused high voltage wires to ignite the surrounding trees at several locations.

As a result the Pinewald-Pioneer Volunteer Fire Department and the Bayville Fire Department responded to the scene.

Power was restored after approximately one hour.

The driver of the vehicle was transported to Community Medical Center for minor injuries.

This crash is under investigation.
