Before Woodstock There Was the A.C. Pop Festival [VIDEO]

Two weeks before the festival everyone remembers, there was this little 3-day event in New Jersey.

Little by Woodstock standards, but 100,000 people converging on the Atlantic City Race Track is obviously a decent crowd.

The A.C. Pop Festival was held on August 1, 2 and 3, 1969, with Janis Joplin, Jefferson Airplane, Joe Cocker, Santana, Iron Butterfly, Procol Harum, CCR, and many others.

There isn't much footage but I'm glad I found the little clip of Janis kickin' it out.
