Beaver Attacks a Man While He’s Swimming [Video]

With all of the shark attacks occurring off the coast of North Carolina over the past month or so, people may forget that there's another ruthless predator in the water - beavers!

Sure, they're not as big as sharks and they're confined to freshwater lakes and streams, but they can dole out damage just like sharks, albeit on a smaller scale.

This guy was just out on the lake, enjoying a nice, sunny day with his family when things turned for the worse. While floating around in the water on a raft, he noticed that something was swimming around him.  Everyone got a good laugh about the visiting beaver, but then he attacked! He took a big chunk of leg meat out of the man, who quickly retreated to the boat.

In the end, he needed four stitches to close the wound, as well as rabies shots.
