Beatles fans have a chance to get their hands on recordings of the band in their early years, encompassing live recordings and alternate takes, soon to be available on iTunes.

According to ultimateclassicrock.com, the bootleg recordings will be available on Tuesday, December 17.

‘The Beatles Bootleg Recordings 1963,’ will add 59 songs to the long list of non-album cuts already compiled on the three ‘Anthology’ volumes, ‘Live at the BBC’ and the recently released ‘On Air: Live at the BBC Volume 2.’

Meanwhile, the Beatles will receive a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award on January 25th, joining the Isley Brothers and Kris Kristofferson, along with others of a select group.

Ultimateclassicrock.com reports that the Academy also praised the band in a press release, calling the group “one of the most influential groups in music history,” noting their seven Grammy wins, and their 15 recordings inducted into the Grammy Hall of Fame, including ‘Abbey Road,’ ‘A Hard Day’s Night,’ ‘The Beatles (White Album),’ ‘Meet the Beatles!,’ ‘Revolver,’ ‘Rubber Soul’ and ‘Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band.’

"As composers, songwriters, musicians, singers, and performers, the Beatles revolutionized the music industry and continue to influence future generations.”
