A pair of bald eagles have been spotted on a light stand at the football field of Asbury Park High School.

For the past few months, bird-watchers have kept an eye on the pair, who appear to be mating but haven't yet built a nest.

The male bird has been identified through his tracking band as one that was injured, captured and released in New York a few years ago.

The Asbury Park Sun has more pictures of the pair.
