Just a Bit Outside would like to wish a happy birthday to Anne D'Appolito. She was born on 11/11/11...as in 1911, or years before World War I began. On this Veteran's Day it's amazing to realize that she literally has been alive to enjoy every freedom that we thank our troops for over the last 100 years.
105.7 The Hawk was the radio home for the best New York Jets performance of the season on Sunday afternoon. Their 27-11 win over the Buffalo Bills supplied them a much needed road victory, win in the division, and boost to start their crucial November stretch.

A Union County superintendent banned students at the district’s two elementary schools from wearing their costumes to school yesterday. Michael Davino, of Springfield, cited concerns that dressing up distracts students from learning and championed celebrating the holiday after school hours.
