It is time once again for my annual rant against the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Granted this year, I was pleasantly surprised when the nominees were announced, to an extent. But that doesn't meant I didn't still find plenty to gripe about.
Last night I was fortunate enough to have a ticket to 'The Tour' with the bad boys of Hard Rock, Motley Crue and the legendary band Kiss. I'd say this was easily my 15th time seeing the band and once again, the men in make-up and large boots did not disappoint.
Last night (9/21) the Bad Boys from Motley Crue rocked the stage at the PNC Bank Arts Center while on 'The Tour' with Kiss. As is custom with Motley Crue shows, drummer Tommy Lee performs a drum solo. Only difference was that this time, one lucky fan go to come along for the ride of their lives.
Kiss' legendary bass player Gene Simmons catches a lot of flack for all his marketing schemes and for his extremely large ego. Of all the adjectives that the press uses to describe Simmons, one word in particular isn't used quite enough: Patriotic.
Every Saturday night we wage a fierce battle during the Slaughterhouse entitled the the Metal Meltdown. We take 2 bands, musicians or songs, pit them against each other and YOU decide the winner by casting your vote! This week’s battle is from two classic Kiss albums.
As much as we love classic metal on the Slaughterhouse, we also enjoy highlighting new bands and up and comers as well. Hold onto your seats folks because here comes a girl that can belt it out with the best of them. oh and did we mention, she's only five years old?
After a long off-season, the Slaughterhouse is pumped up for the NFL season to begin this week. As an avid fan of metal music, there is nothing better than when you have the chance to combine the loud ear-piercing music with football. Fortunately for us, ESPN found a way to do just that for us.
