Atlantic City Welcoming Miss America Contestants

The contestants competing in the Miss America pageant have begun to arrive in Atlantic City.

The pageant is returning to where it was founded after a six-year run in Las Vegas.

From the Miss America Atlantic City facebook page:

Many of the contestants are already in Atlantic City and the rest get in today. They've been tweeting about their experiences and they all sound thrilled about what lies ahead.

Then we'll meet them all at the arrival ceremony at 4 p.m. at Kennedy Plaza on the Atlantic City Boardwalk.

According to abcnews.go.com, the competition will end with the crowning of the next Miss America on Sept. 15 in a nationwide television broadcast.
