For the second time since March an 18-wheeler has crashed into the NJ Transit railroad bridge on Laurel Avenue in Holmdel.

Holmdel Police say a tractor trailer hit the bridge this morning around 11:40 am and became wedged underneath.

The truck needed a heavy duty towing company to yank it free.

Police say nobody was injured and no other vehicles were involved but Laurel Avenue was closed in both directions for about an hour while the scene was cleaned up.

The driver on the other hand was issued multiple motor vehicle summonses by police for disregarding the height restriction traffic warning signs.
