In case you missed the recent announcement, we regret to tell you that Gregg Allman says the band has come to the end of the road.

An article at americanbluesscene.com reveals that Gregg has announced that The Allman Brothers will stop touring at the end of this year.

“This is it — this is the end of it.” He goes on to say, “45 years is enough and I want to do something else, anyway. Everyone has their own real good perspective bands.”

Allman does leave the possibility open to future reunions of the band.

Meanwhile, he'll continue to tour with his Gregg Allman & Friends Project.
