Johnny Cash had a way with words, and not just lyrics for songs.

According to conservativetribune.com:

In a recent poll that examined and voted on some of the most epic love letters ever composed, the late Johnny Cash easily won the contest with a letter he wrote to his wife, the late June Carter, on her 65th birthday back in 1994.

Now, Johnny Cash was no saint, that's for sure, and in fact cheated on his first wife with June.

But he was able to articulate words of love and devotion to June that reveal a deep soul and a great love for his mate.

The letter wasn't gushy, but it was an expression of real emotion and authenticity:

Happy Birthday Princess,

We get old and get used to each other. We think alike. We read each others minds. We know what the other wants without asking. Sometimes we irritate each other a little bit. Maybe sometimes take each other for granted.

But once in awhile, like today, I meditate on it and realize how lucky I am to share my life with the greatest woman I ever met. You still fascinate and inspire me. You influence me for the better. You’re the object of my desire, the #1 Earthly reason for my existence. I love you very much.

Happy Birthday Princess.

John

Guys, every woman loves to hear your words of love when they're straight from the heart and real.

Now you know the best gift to give her for Valentine's Day.

Plus, a trip to a tropical island. :-D
