Happy 66th birthday to Robert Plant!

He was born on August 20, 1948 in Staffordshire, England.

Plant's been busy with his Sensational Space Shifters band, which he introduced on 2012's 'Live in London' LP.

The group is now preparing to release 'Lullaby and… the Ceaseless Roar', a studio debut that, according to rollingstone.com, their leader provocatively describes as "a celebratory record, powerful, gritty, African, trance meets Zep."

Watch as the band plays the album's lead single, "Rainbow," in an exclusive live clip.

Asked to describe the performance, Plant writes, "On fire with this new chapter... power and melody... so much newness... cascades through the past..."

The new album will be released September 9th and Plant will embark on a brief tour to support it next month, with two stops nearby: September 27 and 28 at the Brooklyn Academy of Music.

In February 2013, Plant hinted that he was open to a possible Led Zeppelin reunion in 2014, stating that he's "got nothing to do in 2014".

O.K. maybe 2015? :-D
