FORKED RIVER – Last weekend was very busy for officers at the Lacey Township Police Department. Over the course of the entire weekend, there were three different vehicle burglaries committed by three different subjects, one of which has been arrested.

On the morning of Friday, February 8th at 9:16 am officers responded to the 300 block of Conifer Drive in Forked River to take a report of a theft that could have occurred sometime between 4:00pm on Wednesday and 7:15am on Friday.

The victim tells officers that an unknown person entered her unlocked car and stole medical equipment owned by Hackensack Meridian Health, a stethoscope and nursing bag with a total value of $420.

On the same day at 5:41 pm, officers responded to Sunrise Boulevard in Forked River for another report of a vehicle burglary.

The victim told officers that she was working at the CVS on Route 9 in Lanoka Harbor when an unknown person entered her vehicle and stole her iPhone charger and $260 in cash and gift cards with a total value of $440.

A few days later, on the evening of Sunday, February  10th at 8:58 pm, officers responded to Normandie Drive in Forked River after getting reports that an unknown person was entering parked cars.

Soon after, officers observed a person fitting the description inside of the Wendy’s on Route 9 in Forked River.

25-year-old Bayville resident Jason L. Jurczyk of Leeward Court was arrested and found to have an outstanding warrant out of Seaside Heights in the amount of $450. He was charged with 3rd degree burglary and theft of moveable property. He was transported the Ocean County Correctional Facility.

CHARGES ARE MERE ACCUSATIONS. ALL SUBJECTS ARE INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY IN THE COURT OF LAW.
