After 3 rounds and tens of thousands of votes, we were happy to crown our 2016 Best Bar Band at the Jersey Shore winner last month, Ned Ryerson & The Groundhogs.  The only thing we were missing?  The band coming into the studio to accept their award and perform a few songs!

Last week, Ned Ryerson and all of his groundhogs stopped by the Hawk's nest to hang out and jam out.  By talking with them and hearing them perform, it was clear why they were named 2016's Best Bar Band at the Jersey Shore.  They have a fun energy about them, which translates into a great time and a great show.

Aside from their collective personality, they have some real musical chops too.  Need proof?  Just listen to their range in the two acoustic performances that they put together while visiting our studio.  First, listen to the classic rock staple from the Steve Miller Band, 'The Joker':

If that wasn't enough, take a listen to Katie's vocals from the Alanis Morissette hit 'You Oughta Know':

For more information on Ned Ryerson & The Groundhogs, you can find them at NedRyersonLive.com or on their Facebook page HERE.  Be sure to catch them at The Anchor Tavern in Belmar (old Connolly Station) on Sat 2/11 and Jax Garage at the St. Patrick's Day parade in Seaside Heights!

Thanks again to Ned, Ryan, Brian, Katie, Pete and Tony for stopping by and continuing to lead the way for live music at the Jersey Shore.
