This year's Asbury Park Music In Film Festival will feature some great stuff for local Deadheads!

Grateful Dead film screenings, panel discussions and live musical performances
happening on Saturday, April 9.

Beginning at noon, Justin Kreutzmann (son of Grateful Dead drummer Bill Kreutzmann) and Jim Dowd (Stanley Cup champion with the New Jersey Devils) will have a discussion on “Growing Up Dead”, along with personally shot footage at the Art 629 Gallery on Cookman Avenue.

"Grateful Dawg", a Sony Pictures Classics release starring Jerry Garcia and David
Grisman, will be screened at the Paramount Theatre at 2:30pm followed by a live
show from The Glimmer Grass Band, performing Grateful Dead songs bluegrass style.

Later in the day at 5:15pm, Mike Greenhaus (Executive Editor, Relix Magazine) will
moderate the Making of a Grateful Dead documentary discussion with Justin
Kreutzmann, Eric Eisner (L+E Productions), Nick Koskoff and Amir Bar Lev.

John Kadlicek (member of Furthur and founding member of Dark Star Orchestra) and his band will close out the evening with a performance at The Stone Pony at 9:00pm.
